August Update

Hello and welcome to The New Ambassadors August news update.

This month saw the band on radio for the very 1st time. An internet radio station was very keen to play one of TNA’s tracks they recorded last year and played God gave rock n roll to you. (some of you may of even listened to it) It was great for the band to be on radio. All of us at TNA would like to thank Bilbo at Banbury Internet Radio for the fantastic oppurtunity, and for showing a keen interest in the band. During the month, the band played at a lovely venue in Brentford called The Globe. A fantastic pub, really lovely and welcoming - great food also!!!! but more importantly, great sound and a great night. I believe the band are due to play more gigs there in 2011 - so keep an eye out for that. The other gigs included The Kings Head, Shepperton. The band had played there before and this was another blinding night. TNA are booked there again on the 3rd December. A quality night expected, so if you are not doing anything - do come and watch. George IV was another with Ash and Shaun opening the night with an accoustic set. Very nice guys!! and then the whole band played 2 sets after that. Thank you once again to the George IV for booking the band and giving TNA a great night to remember.

This month and next, you will notice a different Bass player…... why is this you are asking yourself?? the amazing Dan will not be performing with us until late December, as he is playing double bass in a jazz band on a ship (yeah I know, lucky huh??) so, we do have replacements - Andy and Richard. Andy and Richard are both truly experienced and extremely talented musicians, im sure you will join me in wishing them the best of luck(why not say hi to them on our next show). Dan will be back in late December and we wish him the best of luck on his journey and hope he really enjoys it!!

So this month, where are we and when?? On the 11th September, we are at The Admiral Nelson in Whitton and on the 25th September, we will be at the Red Lion in Kidlington. Please do join us if you can. You may ask yourself…..... not a lot of gigs this month?? and I will agree, this is because the boys are continuing to work on something very special indeed which you will know about sometime soon ;-)
